RECENT FINDS 2003

The four artifacts pictured at right were all recovered in Monroe County, NY after a revealing spring rain shower on May 11, 2003.  Conditions such as those depicted in the in-situ images below make artifact hunting very productive.  The vibrant color of the chert points contrasts starkly with the soil and they are often left fully exposed.  Only a pedestal of soil remains to prop them up.
