This group of artifacts was surface collected from a
river shoreline in Erie County, New York.
The late winter thaw allowed for an opportunity to search for
artifacts amongst the beach gravel.
The Levanna point pictured above was concealed within a dark hollow in
the undercut riverbank. |

Yet another Late Woodland triangle Levanna point
(above left) was recovered along with the 18th century kaolin pipe stem
section pictured above. At left is a fragment of Early Woodland ceramic
material. |
